Raise the roof…

…I wish I could. I guess you never realize how much stuff you have until you have to pack it all up. It’s amazing how stuff just kind of accumulates. Some more head room in the rented mini-minivan would be great, it’s so full it would be hard to find room to squeeze a toothpick in now. The time is finally here. One more sleep and I’m on the road to a new place with new people, a new town with new ideals and ideas. In fact I was listening to the radio earlier today and caught a clip about Fredericton. Fredericton has named August 28th Stanton Friedman Day after Stanton Friedman the nuclear physicist and World Renowned UFOlogist. As they said on the radio and in the above linked article “If alien visitors to earth ever decide to formally introduce themselves to humankind, they should consider landing in Fredericton.” It begs the questions: where am I going and what am I getting myself into?

Ufo or Flubber? With compelling evidence like this it’s amazing that skeptics still exist!

Other than the UFO conspiracies I am cautiously excited to make the move. I will be glad when I get all my stuff out of the car and into my room. Maybe then it will sink in a little more. For now it’s pretty overwhelming; it has been a rather stressful frenzy of packing and planning and coordinating in my family lately and little of it had to do with me! I can’t imagine how the rest of my family must be feeling!
What I am most interested in is finding out exactly what the Renaissance College is about. It has been difficult answering the questions “what are you studying there? and, What is the program about?” In sooth I know little more than the people asking. I have learned to basically recite the introduction given on the RC website (which you can find here) which usually quells further questions but results in a look of confusion.

I will be sure to give a full description as best I can after classes start. My next post will be from the home of the apparently infamous Stanton Friedman, talk to you there!
