Reassuring
I always find it reassuring to find something of that really touches me from my own time. It’s relatively rare but when it occurs it’s like a reminder that there are still a few humans out there. So thank you Colin Hay!

I just love his voice, the expression of emotion he manages is incredible. Although the music is simple, it get its point across. I think the message in both these songs is quite clear. Live life yourself, and live it well!
And so my friends I shall do just that.

Werd! It’s been a while. What’s been up?
Colin Hay sure likes drinks… bourbon, irish tea, lapsang souchong and coffee within the course of just two songs… and that tag-on line “or a woman if you are one” just kind of annoys me. But he still seems to write a great song that expresses gratitude for the simple things in life. If only more of us could live out this sort of philosophy. Or maybe I’m turning hippy in my old age…
