I love music

I wasn’t sure if you all knew that so I just thought I would tell you :) I think trumpet/piano/music in general is one of the only things that is keeping me alive right now.

Saw Crazy for You

in the Graz opera house friday. It was pretty good. The music (Gershwin) was awesome, and the stage was pretty good too. Although, some actors/esses had a little trouble with the english lyrics…:)Graz is a cool city, but I didn`t really have time to see much. Just an hour before the play started. Just got some maroni (roasted chestnuts, they’re everywhere in little stands, and they’re really good) and walked around for a bit. Watched a few break dancers spin on their heads for minute…

Last night was the big party in another castle. It was really interesting. Everyone was all blinged out, all the guys in tuxes and the women in…well interesting attire. It was like a party out of a James Bond movie

drank really expensive champagne, red and white wines all night. The dinner was awesome, first steak I’ve had since I got here, man did that ever taste good. I think there was more english spoken there than german :P I think if you speak english here it is a mark of distinction. The sons of the Haus Herr, the guy that owns the castle and hosted the party all studied or lived in England. One of them lived there for 10 odd years. I talked to him for a bit, he was a really nice guy, pretty cool. He was flying to london today, then to franfurt tomorrow, then to taiwan or something the next day. All the sons just travel…what a life! Anyway, i’m an idiot so of course I forgot my camera, so sorry but no pictures :P
Going to Vienna later this afternoon with the Pranckhs. Might try to get to a Jazz club tonight, or some performance anyway. I am in Vienna and I do love music…

that’s all for now, hope everyone is enjoying themselves,

Frieden,

Nick
