Well….after trying to think of a title for this post for an truly obscene amount of time, I have come up with a zinger (see above). I will be the first to admit that I am terrible, I haven’t updated this blog in a while. It seems like this is becoming far too regular. I need to start posting more regularly, starting……NOW!
This will probably end up being one of those catch-up moments where I do a few posts in one night. However it is different this time, because I will not let it pile up again. Say farewell to catch-up posting, I promise ;P
First a quick update on my life since then. The bad news that freaked out a few people in the last post may not seem life-altering to you, but it is pretty shitty. I will not be going to Quebec before I leave, which consequently means that I will not see Sarah for a full year:( This was due to a delay with my Austrian visa and an issue with hidden costs that are now popping up for my year away. It is pretty shitty, but the hardest part was telling Sarah, and babe if you’re reading this, I miss you and wish I could see you again.
Just recently I have come down with a relatively bad cold and one of my wisdom tooth extraction points seems to have taken a relapse. I am really tired due to the sickness and can’t play trumpet due to the pain and swollen cheek. Last night was the worst of it, and it actually felt like I had my wisdom tooth out all over again, not a pleasant experience. The funny thing is that both the cold and the tooth “relapse” (not sure if it is an infection or not) came at exactly the same time, thurday morning. Not pleasant I’ll tell you that. However, I am feeling pretty good this evening and I think I am on the mend. With any luck I should be able to play at the $100 gig at UPEI tomorrow ![]()
As you may have noticed I have changed the name of my blog as well as the template. I thought it was time for something different and nicer, just a little closer to representing me. There is still much that I would like to do to make this truly “my space” but I will save that for a time when I have much more time, patience and energy.
There have been a couple more painful (both emotionally and physically due to the early hour at which they both left:P) departures lately. Reese and Martin both left at 6:00 in the morning (*barf) not that I have any quams about going let me assure both of you
I miss you both already. However I will get to see Martin at least once more next year, unfortunatly though Reese is just too far away.
